I see this as similar to people saying the right and left are equally at fault for our country's problems. These arguments are facile in the extreme.

While Israel is far from perfect, its stated goal is NOT the eradication of Palestinians.

IMHO Hamas needs to be eradicated. And they are completely to blame for Israel pursuing this necessary and ugly outcome.
