I know that our use of the death penalty has serious flaws.

Nobody will ever convince me that men like Haslett (if these things are true, of course), Leonard Lake and Charles Ng, Dennis Rader, and many others, deserve to live.

Yes, I know the death penalty is not a deterrent. But it does deter these monsters from ever drawing another breath. They have forfeited their right to live.
