The Vanity Fair article is worth the click. This stood out to me:

“Who wants to take the innocence away from young girls and make themselves feel important by crushing them?” asks (Lainie) Kazan, genuinely bewildered. “I was such a sweet girl.”

Looking at some of these clips I am reminded of Woody Allen's films. Where the really pretty girl is throwing herself at Woody/Jerry and Woody/Jerry could not really care less. Pure bullshit.
