These descriptions fit my ex well. Nothing was ever going to be good enough for her.

Our agreement was that she would go back to work when our youngest (2 kids) went to school. Youngest goes to school. Wife does not return to work. Can't because "the kids need me."

I'd often get home at 9 PM, had to make my own dinner, and the kitchen needed to be cleaned by me. I did all cleaning and laundry on the weekend. There were many other things but you get the idea. I was always thinking "If I work a little more, she'll be happy."

I did say to her on numerous occasions "I am getting nothing out of you not working." I was standing in the kitchen one day, getting screamed at and I thought "I've had enough of this shit."
